Are you considering a research partnership?

Organizations are responsible for their own due diligence when considering research partnerships. Here are some tips for finding a good fit:

• Review recruitment materials provided by the researcher, such as a Letter of Information, consent form, recruitment poster or other materials. Before agreeing to participate, you should fully understand the study’s objectives, target population, and the role  the organization/individual will play. 

• Request a copy of the researcher's Tri-Council Research Ethics Board (REB) approval letter to ensure that the study aligns with established ethical standards of Canada's three federal research agencies. 

• Ask about the funding for the study, including external funding sources and sponsors. 

• Understand the methods of data collection and the measures taken to protect participant confidentiality. 

• Be aware of the study's timelines and any ongoing responsibilities or commitments required from your organization. 



• Ask about any incentives or compensation provided for participation
